Matt Ufford is a co-founder of the three-time Weblog Award-winning Kissing Suzy Kolber, the founding editor of With Leather, and Vice President of Sports and Entertainment for Uproxx Media.

Matt graduated from Northwestern in 2000, where he majored in history and political science. He then entered the Marine Corps, which inexplicably put him in charge of both people and M1A1 tanks. In 2003, he was awarded the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal with combat “V” for actions on the outskirts of Baghdad.

In 2004, Matt left the Marines and relocated to New York to begin a freelance writing career. He now lives in Brooklyn with a friendly Rottweiler mix named Stella.
