Lang Whitaker is the executive editor of SLAM Magazine. Since 2000, Lang has written an award-winning NBA blog on SLAMonline.com, as well as dozens of cover stories for SLAM. Lang has also written for everyone from Sports Illustrated to Esquire, and been written about in The New Yorker and The New York Times. He recently appeared as a cultural commenter on VH1’s series “I Love the New Millennium.” Originally from Atlanta, he lives in Manhattan with his wife and their dog Starbury, who is named after Stephon Marbury. He is currently working on his first book, a memoir about growing up as a fan of the Atlanta Braves and Bobby Cox, due out in 2010, for Scribner.
