Jeff Griffing Bio

With more than 20 years of sales and management leadership experience, Jeff Griffing (The Sports Illustrated Group, Vice President, Advertising Sales) is a proven strategist who has grown advertising sales and bottom line revenue at every position he has held. Prior to joining SI earlier this year, Griffing was President/Publisher for Transworld Media in San Diego, where he lead the sales and business operations of the Action Sports media company which includes seven magazines, seven websites and more than a dozen major events annually.

Griffing spent four years at Transworld, surpassing business plan and profit targets every year. Before joining Transworld, Griffing had a four-year tenure revitalizing the Central Division (Chicago) of Media Networks for Time Inc. Prior to MNI, Griffing held key positions with USA TODAY in Chicago as Midwest Ad Manager and in Los Angeles as Import Automotive Director, turning around underperforming markets in every role.

Griffing resides in Stamford, Ct with his wife Kelly (a Chicagoan) and their 2-year-old son, Jake. He grew up n a small Wisconsin lake town (pop. 1,600) and is thus a die hard Green Bay Packer fan.
