David Jacoby Bio

David Jacoby is a Producer at ESPN Content Development. Back in 1999, while attending NYU Business School and interning at an evil financial institution, he decided a future of wealth and comfort was clearly not in the cards. Dave answered an ad posted by ESPN looking for someone to write 500 sports trivia questions in 48 hours, got the gig, and hasn’t been fired yet. During his time at ESPN he has produced and created a variety of television shows, the latest of which he (and a couple friends) created is ESPN2′s “SportsNation.” Along with television shows, he (and a couple different friends) launched “ESPN Original Digitals”, a group of short form internet videos including “Mayne Street”, “ESPN Road Trip” and “The Next Round.” In addition, Dave occasionally appears on Bill Simmons’ podcast “The B.S. Report” as “The Czar of Reality TV”, knows far less about sports than you would think, and is sweatier than Patrick Ewing in a sauna.

Who do you think won round 2 between Sammy and Jwoww? It looked like an NBA fight (punches hitting air) minus the hair grabbing. Also, I really find your Podcasts with Bill Simmon’s entertaining. Hopefully, with Housewives and Jersey Shore at their finest, we get to hear you more.

    Yo Dave:

Just listened to your podcast on Jersey Shore and Mr. Kang and to elaboate on Mr. Kang’s idea, why not just take the Laguna Beach cast and the Shore cast and have them switch coasts???? Jersey comes to the Orange County and Orange County goes to Jersey……..

    Thoughts?
