Dan Steinberg Bio

Dan Steinberg went to the University of Delaware, where he missed working on the student newspaper with Jeff Pearlman by a few measly months. The first story he wrote there was about the Fightin’ Blue Hens’ equestrian team.

After college, he worked for an investigative non-profit researching campaign-finance issues, spent 18 months selling cheese at Whole Foods Market, got a part-time job recording high-school box scores at the Washington Post, covered the heck out of the D.C. area high school girls’ volleyball scene, spent several years as a legitimate reporter, went to the 2006 Winter Olympics to cover New Zealand’s curling team and Northern Italian cheese, and gradually left the world of serious reporting to focus instead of the tattoos and general weirdnesses of D.C. professional athletes via the D.C. Sports Bog.
